Suzanne Cole — Clinical Lead Nurse – Neurodevelopmental Specialist

Suzanne Cole is a Clinical Lead Nurse and Neurodevelopmental Specialist with extensive experience in community paediatrics and neurodevelopmental assessment. She leads multidisciplinary teams and delivers evidence-based care to children, young people, and families. With a background in nursing, public health, and psychology, Suzanne is committed to improving outcomes through service development, quality improvement, and psychologically informed practice.

Suzanne has held roles as a Staff Ward Nurse in acute urology, a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor), and Clinical Programme Manager in Community Paediatrics. Her work has focused on maternal and infant mental health, safeguarding, and early intervention strategies. She has led service transformation initiatives and contributed to multidisciplinary diagnostic pathways for neurodevelopmental conditions.

Currently, Suzanne is Clinical Lead Nurse and Operational Manager in Community Paediatrics, where she supports neurodevelopmental assessments and care planning. She is also Clinical Director at Calming Minds Clinic, delivering private ASD assessments and post-diagnostic support for children and young people. Her training includes ADOS-2, ADI-R, and counselling skills, with ongoing studies in psychological therapies and a forthcoming doctorate in counselling psychology and psychotherapy.

Suzanne is passionate about promoting best practice in neurodevelopmental care and fostering collaboration with paediatricians, CAMHS, and other professionals. She provides specialist advice, psychoeducation, and therapeutic interventions, with a focus on ARFID and neurodivergent presentations.
